Hey there Cubies! We are continuing our conversation with architecture in game by diving into the world of brutalism. Typically brutalism is looked at as cold or devoid of life but it is so much more than people think. Its use of raw materials to allow the building itself to speak tell a story that is outside of the architect that designed it. With the proper lighting if can really add a sense of mystery to a scene. One of the best examples of how to use brutalism in games is Control. It is almost impossible to not see this game when looking up brutalist architecture in games. But this style has been used in multiple games to great success. Like Mass Effect, Mirrors Edge, North, Assassin's Creed, and so much more. So, let's dive into this weeks conversation!
