Hey Hi and Hello! The ways in which games are advertised and released have drastically changed in recent years. Many game devs will go into press conferences promising the world, or rather 18 quintillion worlds only to fall flat on day of release, like in the case of No Mans Sky. This obviously angers the gamers out there that fell for the hype. Some even take it so far as to send death threats to the developers and company. Obviously this is a drastic response to the situation but there is something interesting here. For the games that. continue to get updates and new content added to them the gamers come back and even rave about the once "garbage" game. It almost makes it okay to release games that are broken or do not deliver what is expected or promised.
